Captain Goldbeard
Also known as the Gold Dragon Sundarathis, Captain Goldbeard is the captain of the well known privateering ship, the Vigilant. Actually the 5th ship now known as the Vigilant, Captain Goldbeard has carved out a healthy level of fear and respect from all those ships who dare to travel the seas unguarded. Although normally not a violent dragon, Captain Goldbeard has been known to be very strict, and has no tolerance for any level of failure.
After the recent total failure of his crew in the South Seas, Captain Goldbeard tested the resolve of his entire crew and any new comer by forcing them to stand up to him and in the cases of some, fighting for their place onboard his ship. The Vigilant now sails again, fully manned and ready to redeem the Captain's spotless reputation.
His enemies have been known to refer to him as Captain Goldielocks, though to date, no one has dared call him that to his face.
Hinrad Seagold - First Mate
A golden scaled Dragonborn, Hinrad Seagold was a member of Captain Goldbeard's crew beforehand. He is natural sailor and was previously part of the "Officer's Team" from which all high ranking ship positions are filled. Respectful of his captain, Hinrad has a much harsher hand at discipline, and often must remember to keep himself in check when disciplining the crew. Being First Mate is a fufillment of his dream onboard the Vigilant and he tolerates nothing that threatens that.
Alleeran Moonmist - Second Mate
A silverhued/grey Tiefling, Alleeran was also a previous member of Captain Goldbeard's crew. Unlike his first mate, Alleeran was never close to being part of the "Officer's Team", instead being a regular crewman. Alleeran has a much more flexible personality, and understands that there is more than one solution to any problem. Alleeran is well liked by the crew, though few dare play any game of chance with him anymore.
Roest Shatterstone Terra - Bartender - Deceased
An earth genasi, Roest, of the Shatterstone Line, of the Kingdom of Terra, was your average everyday bartender. Though he did not own the Filthy Mug, he happily worked there, listening to the gossip and stories of every crew that passed through Shadow Harbour. When fate gave Roest the chance to finally live out his dream aboard a real ship on the ocean, he took it. Often teased by his friends as a child for having an unnatural obsession with water, Roest was not about to have anything get in his way from joining Goldbeard's crew. When the time came and Goldbeard said the only way he was earning a spot was by killing the strangers he had just met, he didn't think twice. Roest Shatterstone Terra met his end at the docks of Shadow Harbour that day.
Er'im Silvermoon
A black dragon of considerable strength and arrogance, Er'im's role onboard the Vigilant is currently unknown. All the heroes are aware of is that she is on a pilgrimage of great importance. She has the full support of Captain Goldbeard, though they both seem to lose their aura of arrogance and show genuine emotions in the eyes of the lesser races when worried about one another. For whatever reason, Er'im is unable to use her abilities, though it is believed this is by censure more than by true inability.
Captain Black Stoneheart - Deceased (twice)
An infamous pirate, Captain Black was the terror of the northern seas until his disapperance and believed death almost 800 years ago. At the helm of his ship the Pioneer, he is believed to have plumped the depths of all of Dragonsea's dark places. It is believed he has recovered and subsequently rehid countless artifacts from the age of the Exarchs. A lover of riddles and puzzles, those who seek out any of his hidden hordes shoudl expect to face certain puzzling demise.
Ydari Erstone - Artisan Blacksmith
An air genasi, Ydari is a master craftsman in the quiet village of Sunport. Trained in the ways of the master aircrafters of Skybluff, Ydari has created beautiful tools and works of art out of steel and stone. Though his speciality lies in decorative blacksmithing, it is believed that Ydari is willing to use his master skills in creating enchanted armor and weapons. Rumors persist that Ydari is also trained in the art of airship crafting, but he puts those rumors down as mere gossiping.
Vort Bloodscalp - Deceased
Second Mate aboard the Emnity, Vort, a male tiefling, he led the expedition to Sunport to retrieve the black dragon Er'im. He was recently promoted to second mate at the behest of his elder brother, Vesr Bloodscalp, the First Mate aboar the Emnity. When his men failed to report discovering her, and that they had lost sight of the crew from the Vigilant, Vort ordered the other ships at dock burned. His short term as second mate was brought to an end in a battle at the docks of Sunport with our heroes.
Captain Bloodscalp
The enigmatic Captain of the all teifling crewed ship, the Emnity. Very little is known about Captain Bloodscalp, however our heroes got the impression that Er'im would have very much liked to avoid being bound to his ship. His second mate, Vort Bloodscalp was killed in the altercation at Sunport. His first mate is Vort's elder brother, Vesr Bloodscalp.
