Exarchs of Dragonsea

Red Dragon Exarch Moradin

The great forger, he and Erathis, the Gold Exarch were the first to arrive on the face of Dragonsea. Though Erathis was the one who had the dream of Utopia, it was Moradin who built it. It is said he built all the early great wonders of Dragonsea for Erathis whom he loved.

Gold Dragon Exarch Erathis

The true genius behind the utopia of dragonsea, it was through her vision, goodness, and love that the flights came together. She laid down all of the groundwork for the civilzation and peace that is Dragonsea. She personally created the Council of the Exarchs, the laws of Dragonsea, and even allowed for the incorporation of the lesser races by giving them "Voices." She is the true mother of Dragonsea civilization.

White Dragon Exarch Ravena

As a way to understand the natural cycle, and accept their mortality, Ravena helped swayed the dragons away from using their powers to prolong their life. She stressed the need for a natural order for things to grow and die. She also represents all cycles, time, calendar, harvest etc.

Silver Dragon Exarch Sune

He civilized love and the art of courtship. He helped channel the hoarding instinct of dragons by allowing them to show off their beauty, and to use such beauty for a romanticized look of love. He is considered opulent, but his intentions were always good. Many think he is the most shallow of the Exarchs. He is also the father of modern draconic fashion and art.

Black Dragon Exarch Bane

He sought to impose Law and Order in Dragonsea, and make sure that the plans of Erathis were followed through without question. His arrogance led him to believe that he knew what was best for Dragonsea and sought to overthrow the Council of Exarchs. His banishment and eventual death at the hands of Pelor led to the exarchs leaving Dragonsea.

Mithril Dragon Exarch Ioun

His focus was on the discover and preservering of all knowledge. Ioun believed that all knowledge, no matter how mundane, was important, and it all deserved to be heard, recorded and retold. He left behind the greatest collection of myth, legends and stories in all of Dragonsea.

Blue Dragon Exarch Avandra

She shared the same sense of adventure as her sibling Ioun, but where he wanted to learn, she just wanted to experience. She felt all of life was a matter of chance and change was inevitable. The two were often seen side by side as they explored Dragonsea.

Iron Dragon Exarch Asmodeus

Master of Cunning, Asmodeus was the only Exarch believed to have been a match for Erathis in terms of genius, and a match to Ioun in terms of raw knowledge. He is the patron of anyone who is willing to outsmart his opponent rather than fight them head on.

Green Dragon Exarch Corelleon

Corelleon was the great hunter of Dragonsea, seeking out new creatures to track down as prey. This was never a savage hunt, he praised his prey, and found beauty in the natural order of things. He believd in the power of one's own instincts, and the hunt was as much about one's own strength as predator, as it was a ritual honoring the prey.

Adamantine Dragon Exarch Kord

Like Corelleon, he too believed in the power of the individual, but felt that one's strength needed to be tested constantly. A patron of battle, he helped create the "games" and "challenges" that many younger dragons undergo to satisfy that combative instinct. It is in Kord's name that the great Festival of Strength is held, as dragons engage in open, and non lethal combat for sport.

Grey Dragon Exarch Sehanine

Mistress of Draconic Magic, Sehanine's true strength laid in her magics of illusion. It was she who first saw the potential of the lesser race known as Tieflings and nurtured the magics they had within. She is also the creator of the city of Illusion, and it is her magics that allow for the city's shadow which exists alongside it in the Shadowfell. She is also the patron of secret love affairs.

Copper Dragon Exarch Pelor

Where Bane was Law and Order without mercy, Pelor represented the aspect of tempered justice. His ideals allowed him to understand the flaws in an individual and meet out a punishment that is both fair and merciful. It was for this reason, his ability to give mercy, which is why he was tasked with the retrieval of Bane. His emotion however got the better of him as he felt personally betrayed by Bane, leading to the battle in which Bane was killed. Ashamed at his actions, Pelor took his own life as punishment.

Purple Dragon Exarch Torog

Torog was the great jailor of Dragonsea. Dragons, stil capable of evil, needed a place where they could be punished without the taking of draconic life which was seen as heresy. Torog and his purple dragons created all the deep dungeons and prisons that, though rarely used, were capable of holding any dragon. Some claim Torog even built prisons capable of holding an Exarch.

Brass Dragon Exarch Melora

While Corelleon exalted the nature in it's hunt, Melora sought a way to unite nature and Erathis's vision of Utopia as one. She discovered many of the ways that the natural fortresses now exist, including the growth of the coral fortress of the brass dragons known as Fortress Paradise. She sought balance between nature and all things, harmony and peace. She is also seen as the patron of druidic magic despite it only recently being discovered.

Brown Dragon Exarch Chauntea

Chauntea, the youngest of the Exarchs, felt all her siblings had too much to worry about, too many problems, fears, and responsibilities. She taught all dragons the pleasures of simple things, and exalted the peace that can come from such appreciation. Her favored pleasure, shared by the brown dragons is food. Unlike any other dragon, Chauntea taught her brown dragons the power and pleasure of new food, and new tastes.
